Initially it was thought that the finger parquet was oak, However further inspection revealed a beautiful Teak floor .
Teak has a high oil content and can be identified with a leathery smell when freshly sanded .

We applied a polyurethane primer which attaches better to wood floors with a high oil content.
It also gives the finish extra depth.
The floors needed a tough finish so we protected the floor with a high quality 2 part lacquer
